Tip of the Week: Managing Non-Billable Matters

Tip of the Week Managing Non-Billable Matters
1 min read

This week, let’s talk about Non-Billable Matters—those projects that don’t add to the revenue stream but still need to be tracked, tweaked, and sometimes tidied up. If you’ve got a pile of non-billable entries cluttering your system, we’ve got the tools to help you clean up like a pro!

Where to Go

Navigate to Clients > Settings > Non-Billable Matter Admin. This is your command center for all things non-billable.

What You Can Do

Once you’re in, you’ll see a list of time and expense entries. Use the handy checkboxes to select the ones you want to modify, and voilà! Three options light up like magic:

  1. Open – Accidentally closed an entry? No problem! This button reopens selected time and expense entries for the date range you choose. It’s like hitting the “undo” button for your non-billable projects.
  2. Close – Want to tidy up without losing the data? The Close button marks those entries as “billed,” keeping the records safe and sound in your system for future reference.
  3. Delete – Ready to Marie Kondo your non-billable clutter? Delete permanently removes selected entries. Just remember, once it’s gone, it’s gone, so be sure these don’t spark joy (or necessity) before you hit that button.

Pro Tip

Before making changes, double-check your date range to ensure you’re working with the correct entries. No one likes surprises, especially when data is involved!

This feature is all about flexibility and control, so you can keep your non-billable matters organized, streamlined, and stress-free.
